A-Z Challenge - W is for Waterfalls and Where's the Bathroom?

No great waterfall stories  - They're just so beautiful and this one is a road away from my house on the way to the swinging bridge (see the letter S).  Don't you love waterfalls?

But the real story here has to do with the lack of, er hmm, facilities, when you travel down rural roads. So many little gas stations have closed in this economy, that some mornings, if your stomach is doing a morning dance, you find yourself kind of like a bear. I made this little stop motion video to illustrate the problem. Enjoy!

  1. LOL- cute video! Vermont can be the same way if you travel off the interstate. Even on Cape Cod you have to know where the bathrooms are - and there aren't any cornfields to ditch into... ;-)

  2. Haha! Great video. And that's a lovely waterfall. But if you really have to pee, and there's no bathroom around, a waterfall is probably the last thing you want to see.

  3. Love it! Beautiful picture of a waterfall: you are so lucky to live near such beauty!

...your post illustrates one of the reasons I usually travel in a state of dehydration...

  4. Ah, the joys of being a man. Cool waterfall although I must agree with Laurita, Coffee and waterfalls don't really go well together. :)
Blessings from Geoff drinking coffee at home in Cape Town.

  5. Loved the video. My kids call that camping potty. Luckily we don't have to resort to it very frequently anymore, now that they're a little older.

  6. So I have to admit that it came to this while I was out in the desert a few weeks ago. Bathrooms everywhere but the one hike where we stopped.
Also, I'm the only girl in my house, so no one appreciates a "real" bathroom when we're on the road as much as I do.

  7. Ahhhh. Such beauty so close to you. Not having a bathroom close is a horrible thing. :-)

  8. Pretty durn funny little video! I have the decent bathrooms memorized along my route to the country. But heck, if it's an isolated section, I'll drop drawer faster than you can say BEAR!

  9. Jaye, don't get me started on my daughter's substitutes for restrooms while she's running cross-country.

    Love the video, btw. :)

Glad I'm not alone in my bearish tendencies! LOL.

Hey, do you ever wonder why they call it 'your two cents?'
